Stirring up the sounds of such modern psych rock bands as Mercury Rev, the Church and Doves, Sofamecca released their first album -- Sofamecca -- in 2002. Fronted by vocalist Jason Gann, the band turned out to be something of a small time critical fave, and in 2005, the band returned with the equally well received Commuters.
