Biography
Boasting a mix of commercial pop/rock and Maroon 5-styled R&B, the Crash Motive formed in the early 2000s in Newark, DE. Derek Fuhrmann (vocals, guitar) had discovered the file-sharing benefits of Napster during his freshman year at the University of Delaware; fueled by the sudden exposure to such heavy hitters as Radiohead, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin, he took up the guitar and sought out musicians whose experience trumped his own. Jaime Orlando (keyboards) was first to answer Fuhrmann's call, and the two were soon joined by Josh Berger (bass), Tyler Ingersoll (drums), and Shawn Manigly (guitar).
